No, he isn’t all that hyper, he just flaps his ears for the same reason he wags his tail … because he can.

He has another way of telling us when he wants to go out in the yard, which is over a half an acre, he is very house broken. After we first adopted him he started doing this hoping thing on all fours, now he does it all of the time. It’s almost like he gets a charge out of entertaining us, and being the center of attention. He can be a real ham.
